ABOUT BARBARA BLAZE LAZARONY
HI, I’M A WOMEN’S THERAPIST…
I’m Barbara Lazarony, but everyone calls me Blaze. As a therapist and counselor, my commitment is to empower women aged 35 to 105 to overcome depression and trauma, igniting their best lives!
With over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of therapy.
Women often face unique challenges and experiences that can result in feelings of depression and trauma. Whether it’s navigating through difficult relationships, juggling multiple roles as a mother and career woman, or grappling with past traumas, women commonly find themselves overwhelmed and lost. This is where I step in – to provide unwavering support, expert guidance, and effective tools to help you rediscover your true self.
Together, we can embark on a journey towards healing, growth, and reclaiming your life.
My Journey.
I Wasn’t Always Lit From Within.
For 20 years, I worked in the fast-paced world of Fortune 500 companies, including Macy’s Inc.; where I led and mentored junior and senior executives and managed $2.5 billion in sales in 42 retail locations across the United States. I was uber-successful: a sassy job title, a substantial income, and a large office that overlooked Market Street in San Francisco, California. I created change, formed alliances with important people, and helped huge businesses excel. The young girl that was born on a farm in rural Ohio thought she had finally made it!
From the outside, everything looked perfect. But, I was so wrapped up in “being my job title ” that I could easily ignore the whispers that my health was suffering. Work/life balance? That didn’t exist.
The signs that something was wrong with my health kept getting louder and louder until I couldn’t ignore them any longer. I still remember calling my boss from my doctor’s office parking lot and telling him that I needed to resign because I had just been given the news that I had thyroid cancer. My body was literally burning up from the inside out.
Cancer Was The Spark I Needed To Ignite The Fire That Changed My Life. –blaze Lazarony
It took me almost 6 years to get healthy after that cancer diagnosis. Yes, six whole years!
Those were dark times for me, in addition to cancer, I was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It was a journey. I sought support. I relied on the help of modern and holistic transpersonal medicine, a fantastic woman therapist and coach, as well as generous hugs from others to help me discover what I really wanted.
Because the truth was, I had no idea who I was beyond my job title.
And yet, I was determined to blaze a brilliant path to living a full and rich life.
Finding My Inner Light.
I Am A Life-long Learner.
My journey led me to become an Advanced Certified Transformational Coach through training with Martha Beck and the Institute for Transpersonal Psychology. I was invited to be a guest lecturer for Ernst & Young’s Leadership Seminar at California State University, Northridge.
In addition, I earned my Certification as a Journal to the Self facilitator at The Therapeutic Writing Institute. I’m a published author of five books; three are business-related, and two are poetry anthologies. Plus, I earned a Certification in Hypnotherapy from the Science of Hypnopsychology.
Okay, I’m an overachiever, and I love to learn!
I loved being a coach for eighteen years, but realized I could not help people achieve the long-lasting success, fulfillment, and healing they sought. Why? Because I didn’t have the skills, training, and knowledge to get to the root of issues holding my clients back.
I decided I needed to become a therapist and counselor to support people the way I wanted. I received an intuitive awareness from Source that it was time to earn my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Sofia University in Palo Alto, California, and a Certificate in Creative Expression. What a glorious life!
Blaze 3.0:
Fire-starter, Illuminator, & Torchbearer.
I have merged my twenty years of business experience, eighteen years of transformational and business coaching, and my Master’s degree. Now, I consider myself in my third profession—which I plan on being in for a very long time!
I wish I had been told twenty years ago that I had both an acquired and genetic form of neurodiversity, but I had to find out on my own that my brain was wired differently.
Today, I offer my clients both the lived experience and the clinical training to navigate the challenges of being neurodivergent and in a I’m in a neurodiverse marriage too. So, if you’re trying to navigate relationship challenges, I can help.
On the right is my Blaze A Brilliant Path logo, the masthead of my entire business, and a personal reminder to be a beacon of light and positive energy. In addition to Blaze A Brilliant Path, I am the CEO and Founder of Love on the Autism Spectrum and Neurodiverse Executive Coaching.

Together, we have been challenged through so many things: grief, loss, death of loved ones, financial issues, and four cancer diagnoses, and we continue to embrace so much love together. Today, we live a bi-coastal lifestyle between Ohio, where we grew up, and our beloved California, which stole our hearts. You’ll find us forever close to the sea, me with a journal and my cell phone, and him with a paintbrush in hand. We are both so blessed.
